Accountability and Wisdom

Each soul bears its own weight,
A ledger of deeds, choices made,
The righteous find solace in their path,
Their virtue a beacon, their steps well-laid.

Yet the wicked, oh, they stumble,
Their shadows heavy with guilt,
For God’s justice knows no bias,
And His scales weigh hearts, not gilt.

Ancestral echoes fade to whispers,
As we stand before the throne,
Our actions etched upon eternity,
Inscribed in letters of fire and stone.

But fear not, weary traveler,
For grace awaits the penitent heart,
Turn from darkness to the light,
And redemption shall play its part.

Seek God’s counsel in the tempest,
His wisdom, a compass true,
For His ways transcend our knowing,
And His love, boundless and new.

Obedience, humility, authenticity,
These are the keys to His gate,
Walk in them, dear pilgrim,
And find life abundant, never late.
Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor before you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Psalm 19:15

Prayer

What lies within this fragile heart that beats and bleeds and breaks apart. What secrets does it hold inside that I have tried so hard to hide. What dreams and hopes and fears and doubts that fill my mind and make me shout. What passions and desires and joys and pains that stir my soul and course my veins. What words and thoughts and feelings and deeds that shape my life and guide my needs. What truths and lies and rights and wrongs that form my voice and sing my songs. What is this heart that you can see that only you can set me free. What is this heart that I conceal that only you can make me reveal.
