God’s Compassion

In the heart of the weary, God’s love does shine,
A beacon of hope, in His care we find.
For the vulnerable, He stands ever near,
A just provider, dispelling all fear.

He lifts the oppressed, the hungry He feeds,
In His fairness and provision, He meets all needs.
In times of trial, His comfort we seek,
His strength in our weakness, His voice when we speak.

To act justly, His call we embrace,
To provide for the needy, to show them His grace.
Emulating His compassion, we strive every day,
To support and to love, in His holy way.

For those marginalized, in distress or in pain,
We offer our kindness, again and again.
With hearts full of love, His message we send,
In God’s constant care, our trust we commend.

Through changing times, His sovereignty stands,
Guiding us gently with His loving hands.
In His compassion, we find our true call,
To serve and to love, one and all.

God’s Compassion

In the depths of our despair,
When life’s tempests rage and tear,
We cry out to the One who hears,
Our refuge in the darkest years.

Broken hearts find solace there,
God’s compassion, tender, rare,
He listens to our desperate pleas,
Lifting us from stormy seas.

When overwhelmed, we turn to Him,
Our anchor firm when hope grows dim,
In gratitude, we lift our praise,
Shifting focus from pain’s maze.

For God’s compassion knows no bounds,
In brokenness, His love surrounds,
He hears our cries, our fears, our plea,
And whispers, “Child, I’m here with thee.”
Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor before you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Psalm 19:15

Prayer

What lies within this fragile heart that beats and bleeds and breaks apart. What secrets does it hold inside that I have tried so hard to hide. What dreams and hopes and fears and doubts that fill my mind and make me shout. What passions and desires and joys and pains that stir my soul and course my veins. What words and thoughts and feelings and deeds that shape my life and guide my needs. What truths and lies and rights and wrongs that form my voice and sing my songs. What is this heart that you can see that only you can set me free. What is this heart that I conceal that only you can make me reveal.
