Living stones we are, uniquely made,
Into a spiritual house, carefully laid.
Though diverse we are, in unity we stand,
Part of Christ's body, guided by His hand.
Just as newborns crave for milk, pure and sweet, we yearn for God's Word, our spiritual treat. Reading, studying, meditating, day and night, growing in faith, in God's holy light. In the quiet of our hearts, a call we make, Jesus hears, for His name's sake. Compassionate and willing, He's always near, in every whisper, every prayer, He's here.
Sinful desires wage war, against our soul, self-control, discipline, make us whole. Relying on God's grace, in our pursuit of holiness, living out our faith, in humble gentleness. Not just words, but actions speak, of God's love, to the strong and the weak. The impact of our conduct, a beacon so bright, guiding others to perceive God's light.
Persistence in prayer, a virtue we hold, even when answers are not immediately told. Discouragement may come, others may deride, but in His time, He'll provide. Honest and specific, our prayers ascend, trusting that Jesus, our needs comprehend. He cares for us, in ways untold, in His love, we find a hold.
In worship, we find not duty, but joy, in songs of praise, our voices employ. With gladness, we come before His throne, acknowledging His goodness, in every tone. The Lord, our Maker, to whom we belong, in His creation, we find our song.
A sense of humility, gratitude in our heart, for it is He who made us, in His art. The Lord is good, His love, forever it stays, His faithfulness endures, through all our days. Through generations, His truth remains, in His unchanging character, our hope sustains. So let us trust, in His steadfast love, and in His faithfulness, sent from above. For He is our God, in Him we trust, in His unchanging character, and love so just.
Experiencing His healing, salvation's song, to a life of discipleship, we belong. Gratitude and commitment, our offering, in His love, we find our belonging. Set apart for service, in God's grand plan, our identity in Christ, part of His clan. To represent Him in this world, wide and vast, proclaiming His excellencies, first and last.
