Remain in the Lord

Trials bring out the best in you.

When things are seemed to be doing fine, you tend to relax your guard so to speak. In most cases, it is during these times of vulnerability that you are attacked making you easy preys. This is why the Lord constantly reminds you to "Remain in Him". Only the Lord can protect and shield you from any form of harm or evil that may come your way.

The Bible teaches you that just like there are seasons of exceptional blessings, there are also seasons of trial. When shower of blessings come, you should capitalize on them and seize the momentum as much as possible. After this, the Lord will again allow trials to happen to your life so that He can bring out the best in you.

God is good all the time! He is good to all. His tender mercies are over all His works. He causes His sun to rise on the good and on the evil, and He sends rain on the just and on the unjust. The fact of the matter is, God is good even to people who are not good because it is His nature.

It is a human weakness that every time a person feels bad, he needs somebody to be around with him. Even without uttering a word, a companion's presence is good enough to bring comfort and strength. This is the reason why it became common to say that the true test of friendship or any relationship is "being there through thick and thin or being there in times when you are most needed".

Change your sinful ways. Harden not your heart and never put the Lord your God to test (Ps 95:8-9). Pray for the grace to be open to what changes you need to truly live as Jesus’ disciples. Accept your need for conversion and repentance in your journey to holiness. Take correction and always remain faithful and obedient to the Lord.

Listen to God's Word, He speaks to you. Widen your horizon and look on the bigger picture. Cherish the love and relationship that your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has brought upon you. His sacrifice has not been in vain for through Him, you were rescued and brought back to Your Father in heaven.
Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor before you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Psalm 19:15

Prayer

What lies within this fragile heart that beats and bleeds and breaks apart. What secrets does it hold inside that I have tried so hard to hide. What dreams and hopes and fears and doubts that fill my mind and make me shout. What passions and desires and joys and pains that stir my soul and course my veins. What words and thoughts and feelings and deeds that shape my life and guide my needs. What truths and lies and rights and wrongs that form my voice and sing my songs. What is this heart that you can see that only you can set me free. What is this heart that I conceal that only you can make me reveal.
