Lay A Hand

This day, the Lord rewards you for the good you have done.

Afflictions are consolations. You must first fall before you can stand. You must first be sick before you can get healed. No one receives consolation if he is not under the state of affliction.

If you are made to give up something which is of value to you, you struggle with God's Will. This kind of reservation limits you to what you have and prevents you from receiving an even more overflowing of God's graces.

Give it all to God! Many times, you say, "I surrender everything to the Lord for I trust in Him". This usually happens when you are in a state of experiencing problems and difficulties. When things turn out to be well again, you tend to go back to your old ways of doing things on your own.

Be principle minded and maintain your integrity. Do not allow ambition, selfishness and greed to rule over your life. Pray that you be more concerned with receiving God’s love for you and sharing it than wreaking vengeance on the lives of those towards whom you are jealous. Likewise, take no action against those who are jealous of you and wants to harm you. Let the Lord be their judge.

Repay evil with good and do not stoop to the wrong actions of those who offend you. Always respond with love and kindness to others regardless of how they treat you. Do not be tempted to grab power by way of wrongful means or when given the opportunity to do so.

Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor before you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Psalm 19:15

Prayer

What lies within this fragile heart that beats and bleeds and breaks apart. What secrets does it hold inside that I have tried so hard to hide. What dreams and hopes and fears and doubts that fill my mind and make me shout. What passions and desires and joys and pains that stir my soul and course my veins. What words and thoughts and feelings and deeds that shape my life and guide my needs. What truths and lies and rights and wrongs that form my voice and sing my songs. What is this heart that you can see that only you can set me free. What is this heart that I conceal that only you can make me reveal.
