Set your Priorities Straight

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Today is the fitting time to examine how you have set your priorities in terms of money spent and not just focused on money saved. Money is something that is outside of you, what God wants is you. He is more concerned of your heart in terms of how you hope and value Him as the Giver rather than on money which obviously comes and goes.

God does not need your money; He has lots of them which is far more than you can ever imagine. Even what you have is His. Rely not on your wealth; say not: “I have the power.” Rely not on your strength in following the desires of your heart. True worth and value does not come from wealth and possession of material things. It is only by God's grace that you can be saved in times of trouble.

Many have fallen because of self-confidence. Do not presume that you can do things on your own. In everything you say and do, you are always in need of God. He alone can provide you with the power of wisdom and strength to overcome the battles and challenges that comes your way. Surrender all your cares and worries to the Lord and allow His hands to work in you.

Everything you do or say mirrors your character. The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. for the wisdom of this world is foolishness in the eyes of God. Do not allow the ways of the world to distract you, let no one deceive you. If anyone among you considers himself wise in this age, let him become a fool so as to become wise.

The Lord guides you to ways and means on how to preserve your dealings and relationships. Preserving good and lasting relationships produces bountiful harvests. Be a preserving agent so that nothing will be spoiled.

Bless the Lord and forget not all His benefits. He pardons all your iniquities, heals all your ills. He redeems you and He crowns you with kindness and compassion. Hope in Him and all these things shall be added unto you.

Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor before you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Psalm 19:15

Prayer

What lies within this fragile heart that beats and bleeds and breaks apart. What secrets does it hold inside that I have tried so hard to hide. What dreams and hopes and fears and doubts that fill my mind and make me shout. What passions and desires and joys and pains that stir my soul and course my veins. What words and thoughts and feelings and deeds that shape my life and guide my needs. What truths and lies and rights and wrongs that form my voice and sing my songs. What is this heart that you can see that only you can set me free. What is this heart that I conceal that only you can make me reveal.
