Why Seek a Sign?

Why seek a sign when you have Jesus as the Word made flesh. He is the truth and the best guide you ever heard. Why seek a sign when you have the Spirit of Christ in you. Why seek a sign when you have the only beloved Son of the Father who is Your Lord and Savior. Why seek a sign when you have the Father through Jesus. He is God's most precious gift to mankind.

God has given you the wisdom to understand His will. He guides, teaches, enlightens, inspires, and fills you with all that is to know and learn. He reveals to you the right way and path of life. Take counsel in the Lord alone.

It is good for you that you have been afflicted, that you may learn His statutes for they are the words of life and wisdom and grace, the instructions of God and His ways. They are the light of truth and righteousness and peace, the guidance of God and His will. They are the joy of love and faithfulness and hope, the promises of God and His plan.

Consider it all joy when you encounter various trials for they are the tests of your faith and perseverance. They are the opportunities to grow and mature in Christ. They are the challenges that make you stronger and wiser. They are the means of your sanctification and transformation, the tools that God uses to shape and mold you, the fire that purifies and refines you. They are the proofs of your love and devotion, the expressions of your trust and dependence, the sacrifices that please and honor God.

In Jesus, you were made to be a keeper of God's flock and also a tiller of soil. Be a good example to them by truly working with them and being like them. Always remember, you are your brother's keeper.

God's kindness comforts you according to His promise to His servants. He does not forget or forsake or abandon or neglect you. He remembers and cares and supports and protects you. He does not leave you alone or helpless or hopeless or fearful. He stays with you and helps you and gives you hope and courage. He does not let you suffer or grieve or despair or perish. He comforts you and heals you and restores you and saves you.
Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor before you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Psalm 19:15

Prayer

What lies within this fragile heart that beats and bleeds and breaks apart. What secrets does it hold inside that I have tried so hard to hide. What dreams and hopes and fears and doubts that fill my mind and make me shout. What passions and desires and joys and pains that stir my soul and course my veins. What words and thoughts and feelings and deeds that shape my life and guide my needs. What truths and lies and rights and wrongs that form my voice and sing my songs. What is this heart that you can see that only you can set me free. What is this heart that I conceal that only you can make me reveal.
