Bread from Heaven

In the quiet of our souls, we hunger,
Seeking more than earthly fare,
Beyond the mundane, our hearts wander,
Yearning for a feast beyond compare.

Jesus, the living bread from heaven,
Breaks through the ordinary veil,
His presence, like manna freely given,
Nourishes our spirits, never frail.

We stumble, blinded by the mundane,
Yet His light pierces through the haze,
Challenging our preconceptions, we gain
A glimpse of eternity’s endless days.

Our faith, not merely a human choice,
But a response to the Father’s call,
He whispers truth in our inner voice,
Guiding us to Jesus, our all in all.

So let us humbly open wide our hearts,
Embrace the extraordinary, divine,
For in Christ’s love, our hunger departs,
And everlasting life becomes our sign.

Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor before you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Psalm 19:15

Prayer

What lies within this fragile heart that beats and bleeds and breaks apart. What secrets does it hold inside that I have tried so hard to hide. What dreams and hopes and fears and doubts that fill my mind and make me shout. What passions and desires and joys and pains that stir my soul and course my veins. What words and thoughts and feelings and deeds that shape my life and guide my needs. What truths and lies and rights and wrongs that form my voice and sing my songs. What is this heart that you can see that only you can set me free. What is this heart that I conceal that only you can make me reveal.
