Mercy’s Call

Our sins, like shadows cast upon the soul,
Affect our bond with God, our hearts laid bare.
In moments when we stray from His control,
We wound the One who hears our every prayer.

Yet grace abounds, a river deep and wide,
For God, in love, desires our swift return.
His mercy calls, inviting us to hide
Within its shelter, where forgiveness burns.

Repentance blooms when honesty takes root,
No room for hollow excuses to remain.
We turn from sin, our hearts no longer mute,
And find restoration in the cleansing rain.

Joy dances forth, a sunrise after night,
\As God, with open arms, awaits our plea.
His love, undeserved, transforms our plight,
And hope ignites—a beacon on life’s sea.

So let us humbly seek His mercy’s shore,
Where sinners find redemption evermore.
Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor before you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Psalm 19:15

Prayer

What lies within this fragile heart that beats and bleeds and breaks apart. What secrets does it hold inside that I have tried so hard to hide. What dreams and hopes and fears and doubts that fill my mind and make me shout. What passions and desires and joys and pains that stir my soul and course my veins. What words and thoughts and feelings and deeds that shape my life and guide my needs. What truths and lies and rights and wrongs that form my voice and sing my songs. What is this heart that you can see that only you can set me free. What is this heart that I conceal that only you can make me reveal.
