The Miraculous Catch

All night they toiled, nets empty and bare,
Yet at His word, they cast without despair.
Obedience in the face of doubt,
A lesson in trust, when faith is stout.

The nets grew heavy, the catch was vast,
A miracle unfolded, their doubts surpassed.
Simon Peter, humbled, fell to his knees,
Acknowledging his sin, seeking grace with ease.

“From now on, you’ll fish for souls,” He said,
A new purpose, a path ahead.
Leaving behind their old, familiar ways,
To follow Christ, through all their days.

God’s provision, abundant and grand,
Beyond what they could ever understand.
When we follow Him, our needs He meets,
Equipping us for the tasks, our hearts He greets.

Total commitment, they left all behind,
A challenge for us, to seek and find.
What must we let go, to fully embrace,
The calling of Christ, His love and grace.

Faith in action, Peter’s story shows,
The power of belief, in the path we chose.
Trust in Jesus, embrace His call,
Commit to follow, give Him your all.
Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor before you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Psalm 19:15

Prayer

What lies within this fragile heart that beats and bleeds and breaks apart. What secrets does it hold inside that I have tried so hard to hide. What dreams and hopes and fears and doubts that fill my mind and make me shout. What passions and desires and joys and pains that stir my soul and course my veins. What words and thoughts and feelings and deeds that shape my life and guide my needs. What truths and lies and rights and wrongs that form my voice and sing my songs. What is this heart that you can see that only you can set me free. What is this heart that I conceal that only you can make me reveal.
